 देश आजादी की 74वां वर्षगांठ मनाने जा रहा है, हर साल पूरा देश इसे धूमधाम के साथ मनाता है. 15 अगस्त को लेकर कई सारी ऐसी कहानियां हैं, जो शायद आम लोगों को नहीं पता है. 15 अगस्त का दिन भारत के लिए बेहद खास रहा है, इस दिन भारत को मध्यकालीन और ब्रिटिश गुलामी की जंजीरें तोड़ एक नए युग में कदम रखा था. ऐसे में चलिए जानते हैं अन कही रोचक बातें.

1.भारत के स्वाधीनता आंदोलन का नेतृत्व महात्मा गांधी ने किया था। लेकिन जब देश को 15 अगस्त, 1947 को आजादी मिली, तो वे इसके जश्न में शामिल नहीं हुए थे।

2. महात्मा गांधी उस दिन दिल्ली से हजारों किलोमीटर दूर बंगाल के नोआखली में थे, जहां वे हिंदुओं और मुस्लिमों के बीच हो रही सांप्रदायिक हिंसा को रोकने के लिए अनशन कर रहे थे।

 

3. जब तय हो गया कि भारत 15 अगस्त को आजाद होगा, तो जवाहर लाल नेहरू और सरदार वल्लभ भाई पटेल ने महात्मा गांधी को एक पत्र भेजा। इस पत्र में लिखा था, '15 अगस्त हमारा पहला स्वाधीनता दिवस होगा। आप राष्ट्रपिता हैं, इसमें शामिल हो अपना आशीर्वाद दें।'

 

4. गांधीजी ने इस पत्र का जवाब भिजवाया, 'जब कलकत्ता में हिंदु-मुस्लिम एक दूसरे की जान ले रहे हैं, ऐसे में मैं जश्न मनाने के लिए कैसे आ सकता हूं। मैं दंगा रोकने के लिए अपनी जान दे दूंगा।'

4. Gandhiji sent an answer to this letter, 'How can I come to celebrate when Hindu-Muslims are killing each other in Calcutta. I will give my life to stop the riot. '
